| Team Tennessee opened up the Junior Sunbelt Tournament in McAlester, OK with a no hit shut out on the arm of Vanderbilt commitment Robert Hansen. Not only was Hansen stellar in his 6 strikeout performance, Tennessee's bats were alive and ready to prove themselves strong. Josh Lee, who is also a Vanderbilt commitment, put the first runs of the game on the board with a 2 run shot in the first inning. Lee would also have an RBI single later in the game. Kendall Keeton would also live with the long ball hitting a 3 run homer in the 4th. Nick Delmonico and Dylan Haycraft would both double and Ethan Gross singled in the outing. Team Tennessee plays again at 5 pm against Georgia... | ||||||||||||||

but Team Tennessee eventually knocked off Mississippi during game 6 of their
Sunbelt stay. Team Tennessee, now 4 - 2, was consistent offensively having
11 runs on 9 hits. Leading Tennessee offensively were Tennessee commitment,
Taylor Morton, with a 2 run shot in the second, Nick Delmonico with an RBI
single along with a late inning home run, and Kendall Keeton with a solo
homer in the 8th. From the pitching side,
Tennessee used many different arms to overcome a 7 run 6th inning
rally by Mississippi. The ball would finally be placed into the hand of day
1 starter
Robert Hansen and he would pick up the win for Tennessee. Team
Tennessee plays again at 7:45 pm against Oklahoma Gold. |

Deaton's No Hitter Plus Bats Silences Oklahoma Gold
The Tennessee boys routed the Gold Team of Oklahoma 16 - 0 Monday night in
Wilburton, OK.
Bartlett's Luke Deaton was stellar throwing the second no - hitter of the
tourney for Team Tennessee and the sticks struck for 12 hits along with 4
homeruns. Leading the offensive charge for Tennessee were Vandy commitment
Josh Lee with a solo home run, Nick Delmonico with a solo shot and a
single, Vol commitment Taylor Morton with 2 singles, Chris Marconcini with
a home run along with a single, and Clint Freeman with 3 singles. The
hottest of the bunch was Farragut's Ethan Bennet with a single, double,
and a towering home run in the third.

WP- Save- LP - Tyler Dailey HR - Tucker Tubbs Top Hitters (Name, H-AB, etc) Ethan Gross, 2 singles Arizona didn't make Tennessee suffer in their own misery for too long on Tuesday morning beating them 13 - 5 in just five innings of play. Collierville's Tyler Dailey received the loss for Team Tennessee while the offense did not help him much. Ironically, the brightest spot of offensive help for Dailey was his Collierville teammate Tucker Tubbs' 3 run shot in the forth making the score 8 - 5 at the time. Mount Juliet's Ethan Gross had 2 singles as well. |

It was a rocky start for Team Tennessee when they toed it up at
Eastern Oklahoma State against the boys from
Ontario. Canada (1 -
7) put an 8 spot on Davy Crockett's Clint Freeman in the first inning, but
Tennessee would scrap and claw their way through seven innings to victory.
Blackman's Ross Mitchell relieved Freeman and threw a magnificent 6 2/3
innings to get the win. Hitting well for the Tennessee boys were Ethan
Gross with 2 singles, BGA's Chris Marconcini with a single and a lead off
triple in the 7th when Tennessee was down by one run, and Hardin County's
Mike Davis with a single, double, and solo home run. This win puts Team
Tennessee in the final game Wednesday with a chance to place third in the
Junior Sunbelt tournament.

WP- Save- LP- Carter Watson HR-Dylan Haycraft John due to us needing to get on the bus asap, I am not writing the write up for our final game. I will send you the box scores though. The biggest fireworks were TN Dylan Haycraft from Dyer County hitting a 3 run shot in the 6th and Arizona hitting a walk - off 3 run homer in the bottom of the 7th to take 3rd! |
