Coaches, I am sending you some brochures to give out to your players that might be interested in trying out for the TBCA Showcase team. Check the Showcase screen for more information.

This is a perfect way for your players to be seen by professional scouts and college coaches. Last year we had over 75 scouts and coaches there for the weekend. We would also like to invite you to the Showcase as well. The Showcase is held at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro on June 14^th and 15^th. The cost for each player to tryout is $20.00 to help cover insurance cost. There is NO place around that your kids can be seen by as many coaches and scouts for $20.00!

In addition to the Showcase, we are also choosing an upcoming Sophomore/Junior Team and an upcoming Senior Team to compete against Georgia and Alabama in the Border Wars Games to be held at the end of June. Players will be selected from the Showcase Teams. If they make the Border Wars Team, there will be a $100.00 charge to help cover expenses. I went down with our team last year and there were 125 professional scouts and college coaches in attendance. The teams will be coached by Junior College coaches from Columbia State and Southwest Tennessee.

Christian Brothers High School (Memphis, TN) has openings in the Math and PE departments. Possible coaching positions are in basketball, football, and baseball. The Athletic program seeks enthusiastic coaches who can make an impact in the Classroom and in Athletics. Interested coaches should email a cover letter and resume to Mike Kelly at mkelly@cbhs.org

The 2014 Grand Slam Challenge will be March 13, 14 and 15 on the fields used for the state tournament. The entry is $300 but the host site will supply the baseballs. Each team will be get a minimum of four games. The host sites include Smyrna, Lavergne, Blackman, Oakland, Siegel and Riverdale. If we can get enough teams, we can use Stewarts Creek, Eagleville and Central Magnet. I can work with you on number of games and which days to play for travel reasons. Smyrna High School Baseball

Looking for teams for the Coyote Classic (West Creek High, Clarksville TN). This is a wood bat tournament the first week off the season, March 13th-15th. Entry Fee is $275 and you a responsible for three games balls for each game. I will supply you with four wood bats, but your kids can use their own, NO composite wood bats. BB - Sycamore High School (Pleasant View, TN) and Christ Presbyterian Academy (Nashville, TN) will be hosting the Middle Tennessee Invitational April 10-12. There will be a four game guarantee and a tournament champion. The entry fee is $250 plus two game balls per game.
