The pitching staff will include experienced underclassmen including junior's Miles Anderson, Chrisyian Coleman, ans Benjamin Hemann. Also senior's Ben Webb and Eric Todd will be counted on during the season. Newcomer's Soph Taren Coleman and freshman Caleb Powell are inexperienced but could step up and contribute. Defensively, all but one return. Jr Zach Denton at catcher, infielders Sr's Mark Vaughn and Eric Todd (who was hampered with a nagging back injury in 2009, but 100% for '10. Jr's Dylan Murphree, Anderson and Coleman. Outfielders Sr's Taylor Paterson, and Webb, with the other position up for grabs. Offensively the team returns the top five hitters including  Paterson, Coleman, Anderson, Todd and Webb. The Dawgs play in one of the most competitive district's and region's in the state. The team's goal is to put themselves in position to advance from tournament play. "Pitching and defense wins games. We will work hard to create strong pitching and consistent defense, play one game at a time and see what happens."
